Is it particularly difficult to wire transfer from Brazil to the U.S.?
My friend, who is from Brazil and live here, I should be several thousand dollars. He traveled to Brazil to sell a condominium. They said the bureaucracy was too difficult to transfer money from your bank account in Brazil. Are you?
NO. I have to send money between my accounts sometimes U.S. and Brazil at least a year and although it takes more than an internal cable is still very fast (less one week) and requires nothing more than what one would expect in a bank in the U.S.. I bank with HSBC in Brazil, here is the page in relation to inputs and outputs Remittance: http://www.hsbc.com.br/international-services/english/is-foreign-exchange.shtml I do not see how the requirements would be different in the Bank of Brazil or any other large bank in Brazil.
