Recently a movie called The Secret came out and seemed to take the world by storm with a very simple message: we are attracting to us, moment by moment, people, places, resources and experiences on the basis of our subconscious thoughts.
No matter if you believe in this universal law or not, as it does not matter whether or not one believes in gravity or electricity. Do not believe in gravity habit to save when you lose your grip while hanging from the gutters, if you're falling off a roof. Not believing in the power, simply because you can see it wont prevent Zapped if you push a paper clip into an electrical outlet.
The Law of Attraction also called Karma, the Law of Cause and Effect, and some even refer to it simply as luck, coincidence or accident, is simply a universal law that, if you believe or not, without prejudice works 24 hours a day.
Whatever the focus, whether wanted or unwanted, seems to attract to our lives. If you've ever wondered what your dominant thoughts are about money, just check your wallet. If you've ever wondered what your dominant thoughts on love and relations are simply taking a good hard look at the relationships you have now.
Take a look at what you have and what they always seem to point aa itself; either the type of people around you, the type of job or career situations, money problems or chains amazing good fortune that always seem to have is a good place to start taking a personal inventory of how you might be thinking in the subconscious (or below their active waking conscious) level.
Thus that, what does all this have to do with Martial Arts?
Well, quite simply, the activities we engage in to say something about how we and feel. If the Law of Attraction tells us that our dominant thoughts are, at any time, to attract the very things we think we're living day by day, then how actively we fill our minds and fill us with what is essential to learn how to deliberately attract things, people, resources and experiences that we want have, instead of those who may have regularly that are unwanted.
Most martial arts are based on the premise that could be missing some specific training or knowledge (training and knowledge of martial arts can provide) and because we lack this knowledge, we are probably in danger of be exploited by an evil aspect of society. Thus, studying the techniques and tactics aimed at foiling a physical attack, and generally destroying the attacker wrong.
While typical martial arts training has many positive aspects that can lead to greater self confidence, rel = "nofollow" href = "http://toyodacenter.com/self-defense-classes-in-west-michigan-grand-rapids"> increase defense capabilities, greater awareness, better physical health, and many other positive attributes, the arts which instill the premise that 1. we need something, 2. We are in danger, and 3. We have to be overcome or destroy the bad element that lurks somewhere out there may actually be doing more harm than good.
Rethinking the Law of Attraction, if activated train in an activity that constantly reinforce the belief in lack, danger, fear, negativity, destruction, violence, etc, what do you think your mind subconscious information that makes the other 23 hours a day?
Simply, his constant quest for experience to participate in, or bring in their own way to strengthen what is taught in martial arts class.
