Retirement Income Options?

Hello. Looking ahead, my wife and I have five sources of revenue: – my military pension – my 401k contributions Employers – my traditional IRA – Our regular investment funds (passive, a joint account) – wife spousal IRA (begin this summer) (she is homemaker) 1. What tax-deferred investment accounts of others we should consider for retirement, other than a Roth IRA? (My company has no Roth 401k.) 2. What other liabilities must be considered favorable investment for retirement? I do my homework on all the suggestions, but I have some solid ideas for research on my own. Thank you! Note: I'm already retired from the military. I am 42 I also still have my Montgomery GI Bill available to me – have not yet used 7 years and I still have to use it. And children from zero.

You have the majority of its bases covered. You might consider a 529 education funds on their behalf, if you want to return to school or are saving for children. If you are still in the army and have the GI Bill this may seem excessive, but if you do not have children but think of the future can be started now on your behalf and transfer them at no cost. You can go to any form of education.
